Meet the Coach
The GCA girls varsity volleyball coach is Stacie Buhl. Coach Buhl has been the head volleyball coach at GCA since 2010 when she accepted a Bible teaching position at GCA. She began her coaching career in 2004 as a middle school coach and assistant varsity coach at GCA. She then served as head coach for 3 years at a Christian school in Warsaw, Indiana. Coach Buhl led the GV volleyball team to the MISAL Tournament runners-up in 2010. Prior to coaching Coach Buhl played college volleyball at Washington Bible College before an injury took her out of competition. Coach Buhl is blessed to coach at the high school from which she graduated. Coach Buhl says the following about coaching: "I coach because I love the game and the students. I see coaching as a great discipleship program. My goal is take any athlete from where they are and move them to the next level by the end of the season. In the same way to help my students continue to move deeper in their relationship with Jesus. I love Jesus and desire my athletes to do the same. My goal for each student athlete is that they love Jesus more than yesterday, develop in skills, and win!" Coach's favorite verse is Galatians 2:20.
