Inclement Weather
Closings/Inclement Weather:
Our school follows the Charles County public schools with regard to delays, late openings, early closings and cancellations.
One-hour
delay:
All Programs--one-hour delay.
Two-hour
delay:
Elementary and Secondary open two hours late.
Preschool is closed
for half - day students. Full day Preschool students may arrive 2 hours
late.
Extended
Care Policy

If
school is delayed, Before Care will be open on time.

There
will be no Before/After Care on weather-related school closing days.

If school dismisses early, After Care remains open until 6:00 p.m.
Bus Transportation:
If your child’s bus stop is in Charles County, bus pick-ups will follow Charles County Public Schools for closures and delays. A 2 hour delay would result in a pickup time that is adjusted forward by two hours, and the same is true for a 1 hour delay and early dismissals (i.e., a 2 hour early dismissal would mean the bus arrival time would be two hours earlier than normal).
If your stop is in Prince George’s or St. Mary’s County, you will need to pay attention to closure and delay information for your county as well as Charles County.
If your county is delayed OR closed, but Charles County is opening on time or with a lesser delay, our busses will not travel the roads in the affected county. You are welcome to meet the bus at an alternate stop in Charles County if you wish. Please also be aware, that if this situation arises and you are unable to get your child to school or to a bus stop in Charles County, the absence will be considered excused.
If your county and Charles County are delayed by the same time or Charles County is a longer delay, our busses will provide pickup at the delayed time determined by Charles County.
